Yeah , that sounds good .
That does look like a good job .
Well done on the drone footage .
How did you edit the video ?. Is there a program or something that you use ?.
Just as an aside , what sort of money is the dumper .

Nice one mate , had a good watch of that .
I'll need to get one of these blasters , that's brilliant .
Are you not worried that the shot or sand will get into the seals and bearings , or do you try and avoid those areas ?

Re: Searching for JCB Parts Supplier
I have used a few people with differing results http://www.diggerparts.net/ are one of the cheaper ones , although I always get frustrated that the guy can't understand my Scottish accent . He is on ebay as well . Is it Garden Plant Machinery you are using ?. I've had a few bits for other stuff and ...

Re: JCB 1988 3CX Half Shaft Removal
Alright Bill , I had exactly the same thing , however there was also play in the wheel bearings . The staked nut at the end of the shaft is not accessible even with the diff pan off or from the brake pots . I did this job on my own without any help , although the wife brought me a couple of cups of ...

Re: JCB 3CX Grey Cab, Transmission Oil replacement procedure
Thanks for all that useful information Where is the inspection plate to access the torque converter bung ? I had a peek under the beast yesterday. There is a little plate on the lower left side of the transmission housing which i think is the suction strainer, held by two screws. Then underneath th...

Re: JCB 3CX Grey Cab, Transmission Oil replacement procedure
Some of these transmissions oil levels are checked whilst the engine is idling or on immediately on stopping. Can someone clarify for the OP? I think the manual states that it should be checked cold with the engine stopped :) Yeah , I was used to checking cars and other vehicles with the engine run...

Re: New to the forum, with an Old machine :)
Ha I wish I did, if I had enough time the fuel gauge and rev counters would work too! Also I don't watch TV anymore :) I don't have a fuel guage or rpm counter in my Grey cab , the only thing that works is the temp guage and some of the warning lights . I just use a good torch down the filler neck ...

Re: JCB 3CX 1987 Travel plate/boom lock/backhoe lock needed.
Not really a weird question ....it's a good bit of kit for sure ! . I'd just try Vicary Plant for a second hand one . I think I can see the remains of the linkage in your picture - do you have the second handbrake in the cab ?. My linkage has broken long ago and after upgrading from the welding rod ...

Re: JCB 3CX Grey Cab, Transmission Oil replacement procedure
I haven't changed the oil on mine , just the filter . The post from Essex Pete is correct though , ditch the casing oil and then you will need to access the torque convertor through the rubber inspection bung / cover . You can then ditch the fluid that is in the torque convertor . You need to rotate...
