It.s a long time since i've seen a petrol start TD6. When I worked for Savilles a regular job at the start of winter was to go to Poplar Power station in east London to get their TD6 dozer going,that one did'nt have any electrics it was hand start only! Hi Brian I thought the films were great, they bought back memories of when I worked for an IH agent and were shown this type of film when sent on courses to learn about new products. I had never seen these ones though. One film I saw on several occasions was called "A man with a thousand hands ...

Hello Martyn, I would'nt use copperslip when building these clutches.I've seen it used in vehicle clutches and it tends to go hard with the heat and all the dust and muck sticks to it and you end up with a sticky gooey mess. Hi Wray,
The bolts are definitely 7/16 UNC . Like Fred its thirty years since I worked on these machines, but working for an IH dealer for twenty years I don't think I'II ever forget steering clutches, it was a regular job.

Hi Wray Freds correct you will need the special clutch compression bolts to fit the assembly into the frame, from your photos it seems thatyou have some studding in place. The fibre clutch discs went out of use back in the early sixties and were never fitted to the se machines.I think you are correc...
