Re: Hitachi EX27U info required

My egg timer !! Apparently the 'egg timer' flashing is just a heart-beat for the hours meter, I still cannot find any mention in any manuals. :| I am taking the tracks off this weekend to check all rollers (10) and track idler/tensioners and the RH side drive wheel which is the one that I believe is...

Re: Hitachi EX27U info required

Hi Jeremy, Aye, I spend many hours Googling etc, whilst t'other half is soaking up soaps :) I have found an image of the "egg timer" on a similar model (Hitachi Z-axis 30/35/40) this shows a layout very similar to mine, but with only 1 light switch. (Manaul was on CMN's d/l pages :D ) The ...

Hitachi EX27U info required

Hi Guys, I have eventually found a new (to me) m/c to play with after reluctantly selling my 3CX sitemaster. I now have a Hitachi EX27U approx year is 2004. I have the serial number, but cannot find the year of make, apparently this is common with Hitachi's. I dont have any manual's Operators, Works...

Re: Dodgy web sites with plant for sale.

Jeremy, Yes, I am very happy with it :D I spent Sunday giving the cab and windows a clean out, had it out in my field to wash down the tracks (pressure washer not working :-( ) It has a bit of a Squeak/Squeal on LHS track when in motion, sounds to me like a stone trapped, bit intermittent. I ...

Re: Dodgy web sites with plant for sale.

Hi Guys, just an update for you, I have today found a mini digger 6kms from my house !!! -- how weird is that. It is a Hitachi EX27U, 2004/5 model but only 3200 hours, in excellent condition, has been kept in a barn so only dusty, every thing is working and cabin/bodywork including seat reflect the ...

Re: Dodgy web sites with plant for sale.

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the replies and input, as far as the internet, ebay etc. goes (hopefully) I am quite savvy  I reported a couple of these sites to Action fraud and my local UK crime office, also ebay, but it amazes me how - when I am not a victim - as I never followed through with a paym...

Dodgy web sites with plant for sale.

Hi Guys,
In my search for a used 3 ton mini digger  I have found a couple of sites, that are very dodgy and look like scammers.
Anybody think there is a need for a section/topic to discuss and pass around details without opening a rats nest of legal stuff?

Re: Checking out a JCB 803

 :arrrrgh:
Hi Guys (essexpete) Guy has gone and sold the JCB even though he promised me first refusal - not a lot else to say really - well not clean anyhow.
Thanks for the response, maybe look for a Taki or kubota instead.
