Re: Classic pictures Update 22/01/2018

Re: The way we were
Could it be a New Zealand truck? Many Oz companies were labelled 'Pty' Ltd. I'm not aware of any DJ Brown single axle trailer Multidrive units - their system used a double-drive trailer bogie with steering linkage to the tractor unit which allowed the trailer to self-steer, this kept propshaft U/Js ...

Re: Classic pictures Update 04/01/2018
The top picture - I'm tempted to suggest the tractor unit might be an ex WW2 FWD SU COE. It looks to be a 4x4, fuel tank looks right, cab has extra windows each side of rear centre one (which would be a sensible and easy adaptation). I can't tell from low-res pic if doors are flat bottomed - if so I...

Re: Classic pictures Update 28/12/2017
[Would there be a small idler cog each side of the center wheel just behind the tyre so the chain runs up over then has a good wrap around under the cog then up over the other idler to keep the chain in contact? The top chain could then run over a third higher idler to keep it up out of the way of ...

Re: Classic pictures Update 21/12/2017
I'm not so sure about the Austin - wings and roof look right, not convinced about door glass and repeater indicators.... Looks like Morris made a tractor unit version using the same cab - model FFK100 Thanks to the diecast model truck industry, I have discovered the trailer is a Pitt Alligator! Pitt...
