Could it be a New Zealand truck? Many Oz companies were labelled 'Pty' Ltd. The top picture - I'm tempted to suggest the tractor unit might be an ex WW2 FWD SU COE. It looks to be a 4x4, fuel tank looks right, cab has extra windows each side of rear centre one (which would be a sensible and easy adaptation). [Would there be a small idler cog each side of the center wheel just behind the tyre so the chain runs up over then has a good wrap around under the cog then up over the other idler to keep the chain in contact? The top chain could then run over a third higher idler to keep it up out of the way of ...
