Re: For MortL sickle bars

He has bought the blades already. He also got a drilling press to do the job. I figure these blades will be very hard, he's a capable guy, and optimism knows no bounds. :-) How hard the job will be will depend if the new blades are just case hardened or actually good quality blades which are of unif...

Re: For MortL sickle bars

Hi Paul, yep that's what he's settled on doing as he bought blades today. I went up this arvo to get model details as well as part number, only the blades and fingers had any numbering. I presume the sickle mower is a MortL -- 6ft wide and has 31 blades 30 fingers. They blades are notably smaller th...

For MortL sickle bars

Hi. I hope someone can help. I have a neighbour who is trying to chase down some blades for his old Mortl sickle bar mower. There must be none around our way, because he told me he even tried over Germany without any luck. I though, if any would know, the CMN would have a member who'd know what blad...

Re: Hydrovane model 128 compressor

I've found a place (UK) that sells the manuals but 65 pounds is a little steep especially when I suspect it's not likely to be more than 50 pages. MH903H HYDROVANE 128PU and 128PUA Compressors. Operator's Instruction and Maintenance Manual with Exploded Component Parts Lists and Electrical Schematic...

Re: John Deere fuel line problem

Depends on what happened. If they were running low on fuel and the engine staved, as the tank empties, more fuel sloshing occurs and all the tank's debris ends up in the filter staving the engine of fuel. Of course, if there no separator in the fuel system, then maybe the engine staved and they need...

Re: fiat drott

I'm Central Coast Queensland and yeah the fiat 411r was common enough to see in the 70s around the area, mostly around the cane industry, so the more frequent number here was probably the result of a few people exploring what tractor might work in the industry and picking up a bit of a trend. I didn...

Re: Thrown out every couple of minutes! :(

Yeah Dave, I run an old XP sp2 setup, so I pretty much run into little frustrating problems all the time when I'm surfing the web. There's been a big jump in the last couple of months for the number of times each night I've got to fire up qtweb when Firefox won't display a functional page. I guess m...

Re: Thrown out every couple of minutes! :(

Dah -- Everyone has a choice around what websites to visit so there's little point criticising it! Just breeds negativity. I don't think it's criticism, it's more frustration for some members here who are unfortunate enough to have their browser hiccup and run amok trying to use a particular site. I...

Re: Thrown out every couple of minutes! :(

I've occasionally ... even before the upgrade, had from time to time, issues with some photos. Mostly I've noted it has been images which were loading via some other image server like "flickery," which does just that for my setup, one second there's a picture and then flick it's gone. (Tha...

Re: fiat 640dt power steering oil

You could ask your local oil disturber to see what they might suggest is suitable. Looking via google there doesn't seem to be a straight 20w engine oil available via a NZ website. If straight 20w isn't available locally, I would suggest you find the nearest oil specialist store via the yellow pages...
