I would love it if the cat machines were at Ketton this year, i was gutted when last years event was washed out, as much as i like big Komat...

Re: Thompsons D11N

Am not sure if they are getting a replacement dozer or what. I recently had a drive past the quarry only a week or so ago and noticed a drilling rig at work, maybe they are far enough from the houses that they can start blasting? I am passing near to the quarry tomorrow and if i think on i will try ...

Re: First new D10 in UK

I had the good fortune of watching the Thompsons D10 when i was a kid in the summer holidays and also the D11N they bought. (See photos on other link). Are there many older D10's working in the UK? I only know of the Beecher D10N and would like to get some photos of these machines. (preferably near ...

Thompsons D11N

Have read a coupe of threads on this site about Stokeys D11R and the D10N that Thompsons bought many years ago. After Thompsons sold the D10 they got a D11N which i think (correct me if i am wrong!) was the first D11 into the UK. This has until recently been working in a quarry in the North East but...

Re: 834H

Awsome photos SRB, good to see some action photos, that must be some job operating on of those wheeled dozers and being able to watch those mighty shovels at work, its a shame there are few working in the UK.

Keep up the good work

Re: new 740 coal haulers

Nice photos SRB, where in the UK are these machines working? I have seen UK coal using standard 735's and D350E's but i've never seen these with coal bodies. Nice looking machines.

Keep the pics coming!
