Re: Massey Ferguson 65 won't run

Have you got the Hawkeye diagnostic reader for you P38, I used to have a P38 so have a diagnostic reader i mainly got it to extinguish the airbag light on my one. When i had the dashboard apart to do the coolant seal which is a very common issue on P38's.

Re: 3DII Alternator

I would say it would be a fairly generic one same as on a 3C mk2 someone on here will know i am sure, I would give Vicary's a call they have always helped me with JCB parts.

Re: Hymac 690

That is a rare machine indeed Jeremy, Well done for taking it on. For me Hymac is the only name you ever would see on a 360 as I was enjoying my childhood playing on diggers, There were a few JCB's and the odd MF 450s but in the main it was lime green everywhere, Around my area Gamble had 580's and ...

Slooby i did not realise that you were so close by, I am just outside of Tonbridge, I usually pop to Seal Engineering in Seal by Sevenoaks 9 times out of 10 they can make you a hose up, They have helped me out loads of times, Also Phoenix in Chart Sutton are very good too.

Re: JCB 3?

I would say that is a 1971 or 72 machine, It is possible that the front loader arms and bucket have been changed at some point in the diggers life, the arms, bucket rams and bucket all look like they are from a JCB 3 mk2 or a 2D mk2 the bucket is smaller than the normal 3c one. The loader arm are we...

Re: 3CX with noisy slewing.

Thats good news that some grease cured the problem, Those rack and pinion slew set ups are tried and tested, but nearly everyone forgets to drain the slew box and put fresh oil in, I always change mine the mixture of sludge that comes out is when ever you drain them is horrendous. i recently got mys...

Re: 3CX with noisy slewing.

I would think its a seal if your machine is a 2003 that will have rams operating the slew rather than the old rack and pinion set up. There is not alot else it can be apart from something jammed in one side of the ram. I sold my project 12 so i cant go outside and have a look.
