IBH, I agree with your assessment, but with a little Hitachi influence as well. http://imageshack.us/a/img831/1188/ze3000.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img827/8877/ze30002.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img196/9308/ze30003.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img13/1155/ze30004.jpg

Some big iron at bauma China 2012; shovel, trucks & dozer

A friend in Hong Kong sent me some photos from his trip to the show. I'd love to witness this unit in action alongside D475s and D11s. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/post_img/137315187350cad60e0484a.jpg URL of the original image: http://imageshack.us/a/img577/7961/sd90.jpg http://www.c...

Re: Hydraulic face shovel identity requested

I must respectfully disagree with your assessment. While it's quite true that Poclain tried all kinds of interesting and unusual kinematics on the early series machines, the later series excavators were more conventional and there was nothing similar to this unless it was a prototype that I've never...

Hydraulic face shovel identity requested

I'm hoping somebody can identify this hydraulic face shovel? I've never seen a reasonably conventional looking boom and stick where the bucket cylinders are attached outboard on the stick. The carrier appears to be a PC450-8? I hope someone can enlighten me. http://imageshack.us/a/img690/8079/scanzm...

Re: New design maybe?

The top photo is a Philippi-Hagenbuch (USA) design. To the best of my knowledge, they have not delivered any yet. http://www.philsystems.com/equipment-selector/2011-11-08-17-23-12/lowboy-trailers The unit in the video is a Bosich (Australia) design. http://www.minesupply.com/trailers.htm

Re: Liebherr 9800 at peabody coal in australia

Yes; what happened to the front shovel that was photographed in the Colmar yard, and appears in the brochure? Is the shovel attachment in storage awaiting an order, or is it working somewhere that none of us have learned of yet? I was surprised to read in the VDMA "Best of Germany 2012" th...
