here are a few pics of some old steam boilers down at my local ale house.As you can see,they aren't of the two legged variety.Sorry to dissapoint you all but Martyn may approve as one of Fred Dibnas engines was there manned by his son.We have a fair size steam fair every year and some of the exhibit...

We lost abit of time the first day on the D8 as we struggled to get the small belly plate out.It had had some abuse at some point in its life.Tony gave it some more.The rad gaurd was abit reluctant too but TC has a boggling array of pulleys and chain lifts and he knows how to use them.That Landy rea...

anyway......down at the quarry a few jobs were building up on the tractors.The D8 has a leaking crankshaft seal which the driver has done well to keep it going for so long in the heatwave and the D5 has had a new set of segments fitted. The D8 in the yard has been seriously washed down after we removed the old engine and the radiator steamed out as this was allways one of the problem areas on this tractor too.Crankshaft seals do weep a fair bit on these D8's when they are getting worn especially as these dozers spend most of their ...

Having to download pics one at a time as internet is rubbish at the moment.
