Hi to all.

Yep the last few pics definately a 580D but fitted with an old 580/580B dipper stick :ugeek: wow interesting (well to sad geeks like me). :oops:

Hi John & Nick, Well I know that Hymac offered a face shovel configuration on the following models; :ugeek: 580, 580B, 580BT, 580C, 610, 610C, 880, 880C, 890, 1080 and 1290. I have no reason to believe that they did not offer this on the 590 and 590C either. Im sure that JCB also offered likewis...

Yes Nick shes certainly a 580c and yes IBH your correct its an old Hymac 580 or 580b on the Flickr site, I had already downloaded the pic myself :D

Think it may be beyond preservation status though (the 580b) :mrgreen:

Hi to all, Sorry for not posting for so long but life is a little busy for me at this present time. The shovel in question at the bottom right of the 880 picture is an old Weatherhill Hydraulic machine, sorry I cant tell you much about em probably another old English manufacturer thats long gone bet...

Hi Nikolas, I too have an interest in material handling machines, the Hymac machines that I operated were equiped with both electro magnets and scrap grabs. Liebherr 900 rubber duck

Heres an old Liebherr 900 rubber duck. This machine is pre-litronic era :geek: but appears to be in good condition, how long that will last I dont know because the waste transfer site that its operating on has already gone through a Poclain 90 and two Daewoo machines. :|
