Seconded great pics. The old Scammell Pioneer has a big job on getting that excavator out of the mud. I know by winching very very slowy with snatch blocks they could achieve amazing feats. We used to drop off the MF 220 from the MF 203 and that worked but the JCB would be a numb old lump I reckon.

Norm, if you could find a joiner to link the first pipe in to the last one, bypassing the clamps, you might see what happens with the clamps?

Norm, if it is like the older 3C, then the lever is little more than an on off valve. I have not looked into it, but there must be a non return valve in the supply to the clamps. The line to the clamps is pressurised when other services are operated, particularly to dead end. The clamps may graduall...
