Petter PH2
I have an old PH2 Petter on the logsplitter . It's always been a noisy smoky thing of great beauty that I assumed would work even after nuclear holocaust . However while trying to split a stubborn log I upped the revs to max . I started to hear a mechanical noise from the top end and instantly retur...

Re: Rob Roy Dumpers
Interesting , I didn't realize they were a Scottish made model . That one looks like it would be great for the Scottish climate :D There is a partially restored ( looks like the 15cwt ) one lying buried at an industrial estate in Dumbarton Scotland , although it says Rob Roy on it there is also a Jo...

JCB 3CX Grey Cab Door Rebuild
Just finished rebuilding one of my doors . A picture would maybe tell 1000 words , but I don't have any . However , of more importance is that when I did away with my rear opening windows ( bonding the glass directly to the cab ) I kept what was left of the frames - which was basically everything ap...

Hmm , I'm not sure what the light actually does , connecting it to earth should replicate a bulb , does it charge when you do that ? I had a look on youtube there but didn't see anything worth watching ! Press the lamp test button on the LH side of the steering column , just in case your charge ligh...

Re: 3cx Glass Replacement bonding in
An update on this , just got it done last week . I went to the local cheap as chips glaziers and they wanted 260 quid for both back windows , 1/4 inch laminated glass , nothing fancy . I had expected about 100 quid all in so was a bit gutted . Plantglazing Ltd had a guy local to me who came up in a ...

Re: 3cx Glass Replacement bonding in
Thanks Essexpete and topkit .
I think I can get the glass cut no bother locally so I'll steam on with the window removal .
It will certainly tidy the cab up a bit
Thanks

3cx Glass Replacement bonding in
Been thinking of removing the opening back windows from my grey cab 3cx and just bonding glass windows to the cab frame . The window frames are rotten along the entire bottom edge and one of the windows is cracked anyway . Assuming the one intact window wouldn't be big enough ( to fit the new gap ) ...

Re: Auto Entepreneur France dilema
What sort of evidence are they after ? Would a written report from a site agent or site foreman suffice . Would HMRC have records that had plant operator listed as your occupation , might be best to avoid them mind you :x At the end of the day , if you are more than qualified and have done the job ,...

Re: Rubber Seal Between Cab And Chassis
I have seen people recommend these guys before
http://phoenixtrim.co.uk/
They have a nice online catalogue , I see page 30 has flat rubber .
Looks like you would just make one up , punch holes and use some sealant on the corners .
Best of luck , I'm sure it won't be as easy as it looks
