thank you chaps if a 8c is a bit rare what is there that is big and more easy to find then ? Andy you probably already own the largest old type JCB around and thats your 6D, you may be lucky and drop on a Hymac 890 or even a Priestman 220 Mustang but even they are rare these days. Andy there's a picture of an 8C around two pages back in this thread but you are hardly likely to come across one as they were not a big seller and quite rare so I believe.

Hi Andy, you don't live too far away from me then as I live in the West Midlands. The 6D is around the same vintage as the 5C all three of your JCB 360 machines are Perkins 6,354 powered but the 812 probably has the turbo version. The 6D don't look in bad condition either its just missing its fibre ...
