KH66

I've found the this forum really useful so I thought I'd share some of what I just done: I bought a KH66 with a non-starting engine some time ago for a realistic price, with a mind to get it going or referb the engine. I discovered that the heater plugs had failed the fuel filter blocked and given t...

Re: Kubota KH Series - Anyone know a good dealer?

I've not yet come across a Kubota equivalent to Paul Martin, I'm sure someone will be along shortly with some suggestions.

Most of the referbishment on my machine has been catered for by some good local engineers and our own spanner work.

Hi Yozza,

Do you have a machine in mind, what parts do you think you'll need?

I've found dealers parts to be a little pricey, I ended up transplanting a Perkins engine into my KH66 for a fraction of the price of 3 Kubota pistons.

Re: Perkins heater pipe spigot thread

Thanks for the info gents. It appears that the temperature sensor and the two blanking plugs are 1/2" BSPT. I'll know for certain after the weekend. As Martyn says, there are many fine threads all over this engine. The engine in question is a 4.108 Perkins from a hydrovane. I'm using it to get ...

Perkins heater pipe spigot thread

I would like to attach a heater feed from a Perkins 4.108 cylinder head. There are two square headed blanking plugs at each end of the head and one temperature sender, these I'm told these are used for heater pipes when required. Does anyone know what the thread pitch is for these plugs and where I ...

Re: Hydrovane Engine

Thanks for the info Martyn. I hope to get the unit back home next week, I can then start stripping it down and take a better look. I can then look into coupling the Kubota Diesel-Kiki hydraulic pump onto the engine. The hydraulic pump shifts 11cc per rotation for two of the pumps and 7cc on the thir...

Re: Hydrovane Engine

This is a picture of the engine, the fuel filter is missing but a brand new one is ready to fit.

I removed the coupling inspection plate to take a look at the interface between the engine and compressor, it looks to be a solid affair? Is there a cushion coupling or is it simply splined?
