Re: What was your first track loader to operate

My first was a Case 450 at Pioneer plant in the '70s. Not a bad little machine as I recall.
They had 4 in 1 buckets and side tip buckets for railway work.
Also a Drott 175 which was very noisy.

Re: Hymac Excavators

In the Northumberland section is Owen Pugh and Co. I still work for them now and although I'm now driving an eight wheeled tipper I still go on plant occasionally.
They are still in the same depot although it's a lot bigger.

Re: Hymac Excavators

Funny that, just reading an old Contract Journal ( 1972 :D ) over lunch before I read your post and Pioneer Plant of Blaydon are listed in a Hymac Ad. Hi. I actually woked there from 1972 to 1979. I just wish I'd had the presence of mind to take some photos in those days. The advert would be worth ...

Re: LIEBHERR TRACK LOADERS

Hi Gavin, yes your right pugh had 2x 611 2x 621 2x 631 plus excavators but I believe oil leaks and expensive parts put an end to them ! Thompsons of prudhoe had a 631 for a while but I think the lads didn't like it and it was 1.5T To heavy for the scow Enders. The only other one I knew of in the N....
