Hi guys, been enjoying this site for quite a while now, just wondered if you'd seen this footage of a coalsite I worked on in the 70's there's a good few seconds of Merrimans scrapers and D9G's at work. ...

Re: Terex 8260

Apears to be fited with a Detriot Diesel 8V71, which would make it a 82-40

Great photos, nice to see Motor Scrapers muck shifting, instead of those boring artics. Does Becher still have the 641B's?

Re: O&K G350 question

Deas, You mentioned the G350 pushes 660B's better than a D8H, thats a small tractor for such a large scraper. You need at least 700HP behind you to load one of those beast. In good conditions, a rubber tire machine will always outpush a track machine. Hi, Renaultman. Been there, dunn that, miserable...

Re: Komatsu D65P-6 1978

Very nice tractor, I always enjoyed the sound of the naturally aspirated Cummins.

The project is already finished and we worked with it last autumn :)

It's powered with a NH220 C1 cummins who has 155hp and 12,2liter. Torque: almost 800Nm.

Re: TS 24,s in action

Nicky, thanks for the information, I think Terex carried on the older style machine for a good 10 years after the B was introduced. There has to be a major difference in the performance on the "Yankee" version. I guess I am so use to seeing the "Yankee" version, that the UK built...

Re: TS 24,s in action

I am from the other side of the "Pond" namely California, we use to have many large fleets of TS24's, then the Cat 657 took over & they vanished. I do have a question? why do the British TS24's only run 8V71's & no turbos, as opposed to US versions with 12V71/6V71 turbo combantion.

Re: Terex ths 15 protoype is alive [ALMOST]

Sad to see it in that condition. I saw it at one of the con-expos in Las Vegas Nevada maybe 2003? The engineer was really talking it up, I see now that it went no place
