Re: F0rklift ID

From the era when Winget belonged to Sanderson, perhaps a little later than the one posted by Jorg.

Re: New owner of Hymac 580 B

Looks like you got there just in time. Once a bearing really collapses the gears can climb over one another and do untold damage.

Re: New owner of Hymac 580 B

I would add that it might be worth checking the final drive gear shafts for worn bearing , especially if there is water ingress or lack of oil. Collapsed bearing finished our old 580D. Regarding the tracking noise are all the bushes in the links free? If the machine has stood in one place for a long...

Perhaps this might do? I imagine they are getting quite rare now. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leyland-tractor-272-synchro-engine/152771152186?hash=item2391dec93a:g:TNIAAOSwTmtZ-3Jc Is yours a build 5 power train or a manual gear box? Re: Stopping the engine

Sounds like a Petter engine. Look where the accelarater pedal is attached and what it moves. Hold the rack closed to stop.

Re: Hydraulic oil, changing and flushing system ?

That milky appearance is water contamination. Personnally I think it would be best to get rid of a much as possible. I know where Jeremy is coming from, when I was a kid all of our collection of knackered machine only got a top up. The old MF 203 220 digger did nearly stop working but replacing the ...

Re: 5 STUD WHEELS 16 - 6.0

Very likely, I am sure (years ago) a Landrover spare fitted our Thwaites Nimbus drive wheel and some older 5 stud agricultural wheels might fit as well if sufficient offset/clearance.

Re: Hydraulic oil, changing and flushing system ?

Crikey that is going to take some flushing through. I have a feeling that variable displacement piston pumps may be more prone to cavitation damage than a gear pump (especially if the housing is a robust casting). You really could do with some advice from someone who knows their way around your mach...
