That would be for their largest artic shovels, the L84 and L86. From the proportions I would guess the latter. Probably got to that point too late in the day.

Small gravel pit Essex 1964

I recently came across some old cine footage, taken by my late uncle in 1964. The Pit was really set up in that guise by my late father, although Grandfather called the shots.

On first look, it does not look that big but the fact it has a Ford 4 pot and the axles look substantial suggests it is certainly more than 3 ton model. Useful gear box set up as well. I am guess a late 70s/early 80s model?

Has the boom an extra pivot or is it a slide out job? How do you know that is a Dorman? Not doubting our Hymac expert, just asking.
