Re: Dumper bucket holes
Thanks for the hints and tips cobba . I haven't started this yet as the dumper is still in constant use ATM which is not making the holes in the bucket any better but I figured what the hell I'm going to repair it anyway . I have also been working flat out on the resto of my matchless G2 motorbike a...

Re: JCB3CX stalled under hydraulic load and will not start
I am not 100% with the breather on the 3cx as mines a 3c11 but your fuel tank must have one . If you have a pipe that goes into the top of the tank that will probably be it . It can't hurt to gently push a bit of soft rod up the pipe and into the tank . At least you will know if it's clear . They do...

Re: JCB3CX stalled under hydraulic load and will not start
I'm not 100% sure on the 3cx but I think you should have a breather valve for the fuel tank . I have one on the 3 c11 which is just at the front of the cab . Make sure that is clear if fitted as they get gunged up and cause an airlock in the tank . That might also explain the fuel gauge problem. Air...

Re: JCB3CX stalled under hydraulic load and will not start
My 3c11 does this sometimes not often but it does stall on occasion particularly under heavy load such as a full bucket of clay . It will then refuse to even turn over . My solution is to move the levers to let off hydraulic pressure then get a bar into the pump drive at the front of the engine and ...

Re: Nimbus non starter.....
Hi tillywolves I noticed in your first post you mentioned that you were going to use instant gasket on your pump . I tried instant gasket (3 bond ) at the bottom of the fuel filter bowl . Despite leaving it for 3 days to fully cure and it really was properly cured it softened up very quickly when in...

Re: JCB hand throttle arrangement
Thanks Mr F . I did order a new cable but soon realised it was completely wrong and think it would be for a 3c111 as looking at pictures the cable I got would line up perfectly . I wasted my money anyway as I have loads of old motorcycle cables that I can make one up from . Just trying to save a bit...

Re: JCB hand throttle arrangement
Ah I had been thinking along those lines . I was trying to work out how to connect up under the floor so when you pull the hand throttle lever back it pulls down the foot throttle . I have found a bracket which just seems to be hanging from the throttle rod and ive got to figure out how this was use...

Re: JCB hand throttle arrangement
Thank you for taking the time to take pictures and for your detailed reply . Yes it makes sense however my fuel pump is different to yours as it has the simms pump with the throttle lever at the side . That connects to a solid metal rod which then connects to the foot accelerator pedal . It is clear...

Re: JCB hand throttle arrangement
I realise why I didn't see this I was looking under the 3c section . Still not sure this is right for my machine though . Cheers Chris
