Hi Chris did you have any luck on a manual i have done various searches but not found much on the thwaites alligator. Have found various stuff on engine drum clutch and gearbox

Has anyone a picture of the clutch arm that fits into the thrust bearing .This is what's on mine when i bought it . It's a home made plug welded onto the arm is it right or wrong as i cant find a reference to the clutch arm on the net. Thanks again for your input Paul http://www.classicmachinery.net...

Just purchased an adjuster for similar drum clutch from wins international. Co.uk. geoff is very helpful cost £18 including delivery to Ireland

:thumbup: My thwaites dumper clutch is slipping in high gears too. It's a 4wd,artic steer,mk3, 2 tonnes apparently,( there's a pic of it on my post 'What is this?'). The clutch drum looks a lot deeper/wider on mine than the one above. Mines been stood out for over 5 or more years,so hopefully it mig...

I just came a company David cornwallis.com who rebuilds old dumpers. He's away until the 15th of june and has a good list of parts for thwaites

Need help to identify my dumper

Hi there recently purchased a thwaites two ton dumper 4wd. i think it's mid 70's it's hand cranked and has a ph2 engine with a drum clutch. The tipper has a tipping ram so hydraulic. Its my first dumper so not familiar with the different models.
