JCB 801 Slewing Problem

Hi, I have an early 90's JCB 801 with a slewing problem. the linkages are badly worn and operating the control levers only takes up the slack in the linkages. I was wondering whether anybody can give me advice on by-passing the spool channels for cab slew & arm slew with an individual dedicated ...

JCB 801 hydraulic Spools/Valve

I had problems with the slewing on my JCB 801 machine. Being very old the clevis pins had worn that attached to the valve/spool assemblies. I stripped out the unit hat operates the dozer blade so I could get to the slew connections. I drilled out the holes on the arms to take larger clevis pins and ...

Re: JCB 801 Slewing Problem

I understand. The parts are not too expensive, its getting them removed is the problem. You will see what I mean in the pictures. Re: JCB 801 Slewing Problem

They are clevis pin type (see picture). I have been told it would cost many hundreds to do the repair by an agent and as it is an old machine, not really that interested in taking on the work. I am happy to do the repair, but getting at the connections is proving difficult. Thanks, Terry http://www....

Re: JCB 801 Slewing Problem

I have looked at the linkage more closely & noticed that some of the pins are showing signs of wear. Not sure how to remove the linkages with least disruption to replace the pins, any thought? Many thanks, Terry

JCB 801 Slewing Problem

I have an old JCB 801, which has developed a problem slewing. It would only slew to the right. I have taken the floor plate off (see pictures) and by increasing the rod length, can get it to slew to the left, but lose the ability to slew to the right! Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Te...
