1961 BR Plant Display - a bit of everything
Not sure which forum this belongs in... and can't be 100% sure it's not been posted previously... Diaplay of BR plant at Ponteland in 1961. A whole bunch of stuff, starting with on track stuff but JCB, tractors etc appear from around 10 mins in. http://www.yorkshirefilmarchive.com/film/plant-display...

Re: Volvo Wheeled Loaders
Came across this while driving in Sweden - on the way to Karlstad from a satnav guided border crossing from Norway on a decidedly non-tarmac road. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/65150_3TTWHN1NXT8GC1560362465.jpg http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/65150_VML1NG9...

I came across these while searching for something completely unrelated and thought you good folks might like to see them. You may need to be a FB user to view https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1546926681999514&set=g.1389945024615259&type=1&ifg=1 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...

Re: Weatherill
A couple of images that I came across while looking at the 4wd vehicles which didn't quite fit with the main suspects... http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/File:Imv208-p650.jpg - an early L62 without a cab maybe? or something else? http://tractors.wikia.com/wiki/Weatherill?file=Whitlock_Loader_Diesel_4X4....

Re: Weatherill
On a slightly different tack I noticed a posting from John some way back up this thread suggesting that he had an L61 spec sheet. Could I put in a polite request for some scans of that sheet when time permits please? I'm planning to build a 1:152 scale model of a Weatherill machine and the L61 looks...

Re: Weatherill
Hi Andy I think it only had a buffer beam at the rear but retained it loader arms and bucket as shunting was a secondary job for the machine. Early shutters had frames to connect front and rear buffer beam because they were based on tractors and therefore only had light weight body panels which wer...

Re: Weatherill
Thanks John. I guess if it's a one off then only another photo of the actual machine in question will really tell me what it looked like. In particular, whether there was also a buffer on the other end and whether the bucket arms and pistons would have been left off. The usual form of shunting tract...

Re: Weatherill
Looks like a 12HD like this one- https://www.flickr.com/photos/55234888@N05/33384347151/in/gallery-k_garrett-72157627171582511/ Muir-Hill made a lot of shunting tractors but never seen a Weatherill one before. Thanks. That was the exact photo that tipped me off to the Weatherill cab shape. I think ...

Re: Weatherill
I found your forum quite recently while trying to identify a machine from a photo that shows just one end. After trawling through loads of different makes of wheel loaders and shunting tractors I eventually figured that the cab shape fits with other stuff made by Weatherill The photo in question... ...
