Re: Perkins 1004.42 Oil Issue
Spent some time on the engine this weekend and the first order of business was throwing my pressure test gauge on the oil filter housing test port and I am only getting about 5-7 PSI. Pulled the sump and dismantled some of the oil pump and the relief valve but nothing seems to be out of order. Thoug...

Re: Perkins 1004.42 Oil Issue
The engine internals were installed by a reputable engine builder. I still have my old block and will need to look but it looks like a plug has been installed in one of the oil fill tubes that travels from the cam up through the block and into the head to the rocker assembly. I have some photos of t...

Re: JCB 3CX Black cab door
Have you tried checking a construction equipment salvage yard for a machine that was burned or a total loss? I was fortunate to find a Perkins AR block to rebuild a blown engine from a salvage yard for very short money in Canada.

Perkins 1004.42 Oil Issue
Good day gentlemen, I have a freshly rebuilt Perkins AR series 1004.42 engine in an 02 JCB 214e. After dropping the engine back into the frame and connecting everything, I was able to get it running but it was sounding fairly rough, blowing a lot of smoke and fuel out of the exhaust and overall just...

Re: JCB 214e Hydraulic Flow Issue
I was wrong, my boom extension pedal was depressed to pull the boom in hence the dead ending. Problem seems to have gone away but the engine still seems to have heavy load when any of the hydraulic functions are demanded. At least she starts with no issues now!

Nothing on the front end, have the remote ports on the rear but nothing extra connected to that either...just front bucket and normal hoe.

JCB 214e Hydraulic Flow Issue
Good day all, I have a 2002 JCB 214e and upon dropping newly rebuilt engine back in, found that it wouldn't start with the main hydraulic pump connected. Back in October, I threw a rod through the block and the unit had issues starting back then as well and the problem was getting progressively wors...
