Re: 1961 Huber Warco Motor Grader - How to change tires?

I would spray penetrating oil on the contact points and hit it from behind with a large hammer, first one side then the other. It should pop loose before too long.If you force one side it will wedge itself tighter and tighter,it has to be just about square to be free to move.Ron G

Back off each lug nut part way and hit the wedge with a hammer. The wedge will pop loose but the lug nut will hold it from flying out and hurting someone.Do each one as neccessary to contain them as you remove the wheel.Ron G

Re: Anyone seen one of these.

I used to run one on tracks at a quarry when I was working for Lane construction. It was used as a backup when the loader was busy.Ron G

Re: JCB axes 650 jobs throughout UK.

Noone wants to admit how bad they really are Nick. This is an election year so the truth won't be known until after the election I think. The arabs got us all by the shorthairs now.I can't say it is all their fault though. We need to get our heads out and develop some independence with this energy deal...

I am pretty sure that grease was used to adjust the tension as the nitrogen pressure tightened the tracks to the maximum and the grease was used to back off to the correct track tension.Ron G
