Seconded great pics. The old Scammell Pioneer has a big job on getting that excavator out of the mud. I know by winching very very slowy with snatch blocks they could achieve amazing feats. As Pete says this design was for 'fast tow'. Most of the mixer makers had a ' Fast Tow 'model in their range. Benford , Winget , Parker spring to mind.
