It is a Weatherill 2H , unusual on two counts -it has a backhoe (which looks like a Sherman) and most odd it has an overloader front loader that can discharge at the rear , over the backhoe !

Interesting , still never seen a definitive answer as to who rolled a tractor out of their workshop first with a backhoe AND LOADER fitted. Fairly sure Whitlock beat JCB with the tractor mounted backhoe only so it would suggest they did first backhoe loader. To be fair I do not think even arch publi...

Assume they are built on a tractor skid unit so would have thought engine might not be too hard to ID ?

They looked like a handy bit of kit for narrow roads, a lot handier than a dedicated chipping spreader.
Is the Tarmac one above in colour really 1974 as plate ?

Watching old Brit movie 'Rockets Galore' on the excellent 'Talking Pictures' freeview channel (which is full of mainly old Brit films and TV.) I started work in 1977 and RMC were still using them. Although most of their mixers were Ford D Series by then.

Can only assume Winget had no dumper range in 50's so were selling Fowells.
Later on in the 60's they were marketing Winget/Muir Hills.
