Thank you Top Kit, you are the knowledge of tower cranes! The other ones you saw at that time were early Wolfs and the one where the front of the cab opened to get in. I think you have posted a picture of that one on here before but can't find it!

Can any one tell me the make of this tower crane please? Loads around in the late 60's and the 70's!

Thats a shame, i had a play on the 990 there for an hour about 9 years ago! Spent a bit of time on the 9L as well.

Is that the 990 out of Moorcroft? what has it been replaced with?

TopKit, are you still driving tower cranes?

Looking at that second picture its a wonder the whole lot did not come down. The recovery job will not be for the feint hearted. Good luck to all concerened. Out of interest Tristam, what is the highest you would be able to recover a tower crane with that mobile, and what sort of weight can you cope...
