Re: 3c2 Fuel tank

No mate, it's fubar'd. 3c's aren't that sophisticated. It may even be that the degraded rubber is in the fuel and adding to the problem.

Re: MF 200

Lovely old MF200! Our version was piloted by an old guy who thought it was great, mind you he had moved up from a Bristol taurus. When the massey got a bit too much he got a ride on a 3c, it took him ages to get used to only having two levers! Roy "tiddly" Tideswell. He taught me a lot whe...

Re: Trouble filling 3CII with hydraulic oil

Hello Nick, possibly the oil is aerated caused by the pump starving of oil. These machines are all basically the same whether it's a 2, 3, or a 4c. Check the large hose from the tank to the pump, is it in good order? Don't discount the possibility that it could have collapsed internally and is restr...

Re: Lift pump trials

The strainer inside the tank trick! I've seen a couple of old 3cs that had a piece cut out of the top of the tank to allow you to clean it out. One i was impressed with had a plate bolted back on to cover it, someone had taken the time to drill and tap the bolt holes, it even had a rubber gasket. Th...

Re: Safely working on 3C II engine question

Believe it or not, the approved tool was two pieces of angle iron. The plan was, you lifted the loader arms right up and clamped both pieces around the ram rod. They had flags welded to the sides with a 3/8th hole drilled in them,so you could bolt them together. I'm not sure i've described as well a...

Re: Bleeding JCB 2CX!

Judging by the state of the sediment bowl,i would establish that fuel is actually getting through from the tank.
