Is the pipe that you are talking about 8 ins long plastic with a threaded nut on each end if so i may have one in my workshop. :D

It may be your temp sensor, have a look and see if there is one with a wire missing quite often the wires come off, i cant quite remember where the sensor s located.

I am pretty sure the later 1988 1989 onwards models were all electric, i have the same problem on my late 88 sitemaster, i took the unit out and there was no speedo cable everything was on a circuit board, If i get a chance i will remove it again and take some pics, i have a friend who is a circuit ...

Essexpete, i had a Fermec 860 a few years back and this current one i was using last week, The 3cx is much larger as soon as you get in the cab you realise how big it is, The massey feels smaller but it punches way above its weight. Obviously the 3cx is non turbo and the massey is Turbo so the power...
