That is exactly what they do weld extra matal onto the legs to take up the play, There are a few inner legs for sale on Ebay but as they are used the chances are that they will be the same.

I have used cab glazing services 01763 242660 or look them up on the web, for my olde 3cx and a new Holland the usually deliver next day by TNT those doors are not cheap, if its a Black cab 3cx they will want to know how many holes the glass has in it for the hinges they do differ over the years, Al...

It may be your temp sensor, have a look and see if there is one with a wire missing quite often the wires come off, i cant quite remember where the sensor s located.

I am pretty sure the later 1988 1989 onwards models were all electric, i have the same problem on my late 88 sitemaster, i took the unit out and there was no speedo cable everything was on a circuit board, If i get a chance i will remove it again and take some pics, i have a friend who is a circuit ...
