Make sure you've got a good earth. Either clean the starter where it mounts in or run a separate earth connection.

I had an old Observers Commercial Vehicles, 1975 or thereabouts and it was listed as the Thorneycroft Bush Tractor. I think it was more Thorneycroft than AEC. Oh, where have all those old names gone?

Seamus, did I read right, a 100E? Was that an IH or Dresser machine? I've never seen one over here. How did you get on with it? I never got newer than 100b on the Internationals.

I saw these machines on the A14 near Molesworth so had to stop and take some photos - hope they are of interest.
