Re: What Lister engine is this

Are there any numbers on the identification plate attached to the injection pump and the injector that may help? I think they would be more likely to be Bryce rather than Lister numbers? You may be able to cross refer these back to the engine type that way via a stockist of Lister parts or though th...

Re: Digger Man Blog at Earthmovers

Seeing the Acco dozer on the show stand reminds me of going to the Public Works Exhibition at the NEC in 1975 when IH had a big stand there with a TD30 on it and.the British boxer Alan Minter was looking round it.

I think there were about 4 or 5 halls to look around then.

Re: Classic pictures Updated 23/10/2021

Do you know what model the Hough is Steve? From the picture it looks to be mid size between a H65C and H90E so I'm guessing an H70 or similar.

Thanks.

Re: Hymac Excavators

Thanks for the reply Jeremy. My thoughts were that they would have most likely to have been fitted with either Perkins or Ford engines. I guess the Volvo Engines would have been manufactured by Volvo Penta and would have been 6 litre or 7 litre and rated at around 180 -210 BHP. In one of my previous...

Re: Hymac Excavators

Good to see it running again.

Were many Hymacs built with Volvo engines?

Re: Classic pictures Updated 11/09/2021

It looks like the wheeled dozer in the first picture is a Hough D500 without the cab.

Re: Canal near Stroud

Thanks for posting Pete.

This is stuff close to my heart as I am a volunteer on one of the locks of Shakespeare's Avon, not a million miles away from Stroud.

Will try to post some of the Avon when I can.

Re: Matbro Mastif loading shovel

Interesting to read how the restoration was carried out and the number of hoops that had to be jumped through to achieve such a great result.

I used to deal with Matbro occasionally when they were in Tetbury back in the 80's

Thanks for posting.

Re: Digger Man Blog at Earthmovers

Talking about classic plant making appearances in movies, one of the reasons I enjoy the 1987 film Batteries Not Included so much is the appearance of the International Hough (Dresser Industries) machines in several scenes. A rarity to see some of these at any time let alone on the big screen. Neil....
