3CX Leyland Engine removal. See pics
I'm removing a seized Leyland from my 1981 White Cab 3CX. So far I have front engine mount unbolted from chassis radiators out, pump shaft disconnected and all the little bits, cabling etc. disconnected. Once I have removed the hydraulic lines for the power steering pump is it just a matter of remov...

Brilliant. Thanks for the comprehensive reply!
We have a pond (1acre) dug out by first a JCB 6D and then when we realised that wasn't man enough and O&K RH9 we owned. The little IH was for moving the spoil. That was 30 years ago!

Re: Anyone identify this Dozer of mine.
Hello, thanks for the comprehensive reply! Plate says it's a TD8b series II as you say. Do you know the operation of the blade lever? It seems to have been butchered and I believe has a left and right as well as forward and back for the blade. Perhaps to run the rear 4 pipes flow and return? It had ...

Seized engine. Any hope? 3CX Leyland
So my 1981 Leyland Engined 3CX has seized. Was sat up digging g with the back actor and it started to labour, I picked the revs up a bit but it was struggling, idling OK, I knocked it off immediately and it stopped far too suddenly, like the instant the stop cable was pulled. Long story short, oil l...

Air locking 3CX - Leyland Engine
Hoping for a simple solution here gents. Was having various problems with my Leyland engined White Cab air locking up. I replaced fuel filters, drained and cleared the tank (full of horrible jelly substance) and finally replaced the lift pump that seemed to cure it. It,s come back though. If you kee...

White cab 3CX Oil and filter?
In preparation for putting my Leyland 3CX engine back together at the weekend i'm trying to get Oil and Filter sorted and struggling a bit to find the right info. The forum search won't let me search 3CX or OIL as they're too short words so i'm sure this info is here somewhere already ... apologies....

Re: Head off 3CX > Injector removal?
Cheers for the advice chaps. Head is skimmed and i went to talk to the machinist. It was definately in need of a skim. He's taken 30thou off to get it flat. He's putting the valves back in and i've ordered a bottle of KSeal to tip in, won't hurt and may fix any leaks, although with what TCtractors h...

Re: Head off 3CX > Injector removal?
I thought i saw some water coming out from under the head of the injector while it was running which made me suspect something but its difficult to tell. I haven't spoken to the machinist yet just the guy on the phone who said it 'failed' the pressure test, as they use air i'm guessing he probably w...
