I was told it was an automatic, but that was through a 3rd party (my lad) Seems he got his wires crossed with another machine the guy has...
I only drudged across the field to take a picture or two, and didnt have long to nose about.
Sounds like I will buy it then, as its below scrap value.

Been offered a JCB 3C mk3, by a family friend. Its well used and at the moment, laid up in a field with a broken front propshaft. It was working before the shaft uj gave up. Thanks for the tips on removal. I do have a small blast cabinet, but Im seriously doubting there is a single piece of kit on a 3C that will fit in it.
One of my clients is JCB, so getting advice on the machine shouldnt be an issue, as Im there at the World Parts Centre warehouse quite often.
