Re: Quickhitches.....
Any operator that does not check the bucket has engaged with the hitch correctly and fitted the safety pin if one is fitted should be sent down the road and have any card or ticket taken off them. WHY you may ask? Well in my humble opinion if they cant get out the cab to check its on ok and risk som...
Re: Old Cat
Yes pretty sure its a Cat 613 cwater bowser conversion.
Re: Terex
Coal board ran 82-30B's when D8's stopped being made in the UK. If any operator ever saw under the seat of a B then they woudnt drive one, a dirty big fan to keep the rad cool or try too is under there. If it ever let go you could get a job in the soprano choir! To change alternator belts you had to...

Re: Great Restoration!
That little D2 was rebuilt in the early 70's sometime by the then apprentices. Its had various paint jobs since then and was a none runner when i was there in the late 90's and doubt it is a runner now. Call in and ask to look round if you have a minute im sure someone will let you have a look round...

Re: O&K G350 question
Miller had a 350 at Houghton opencast nr Barnsley.
Not sure the RH300 was still in one piece in 95/96 i thought it was cut up before then.
I last saw the RH300 at NSm's site at Godkin nr Ripley, it was loading Wabco trucks if i remember right.

Re: Komatsu WB93R
The WB93R is a true Komatsu machine built in Italy. The manufactuering facility in Italy was the former FAI factory but was purchased by Komatsu a few years ago to form FKI Fai Komatsu Industries but now i am lead to believe it is Komatsu Utility. There is a few around but compared to Caterpillar,Ca...

Sounds like a Terex 82-30 or 40 to me. These machines did use nitrogen in the track adjusters.

Re: Komatsu WS 235 motor scraper
A few of these Komatsu motorscrapers were or maybe still are working at Kilvington gypsum mine nr Newark Nottinghamshire. They belong to HCL i think but that may be incorrect. The Komatsu WS23S-2 had a Komatsu SA6D140E-1 engine( the dash 1 had a Cummins KT-1150-1A engine), a suspended front axle wit...
