Re: JCB 3c Ram seal question please

It looks like it was damaged when putting it back together to my untrained eye and that the broken off casting bits have scored the ram and cut the seals If it was mine I just hone the cylinder and try to clean up the scoring as best you can and bung a fresh set of seals in I think it will work ok a...

Re: Fowler 3

Fred did you notice the rippers on the back of the blade for ripping when backing up for the next cut This was fairly common thru the 50's and 60's in Australian and then faded away I guess when full hydraulic blades became common and you could then push down And I would have thought 24 ton was a bi...

Re: Fowler 3

I would agree considering that almost every other bit of farm construction or logging machinery from that era would be battered and bruised pretty much all over and have coves and track guards missing from front to back

Re: Benford starter

I would start were Jeremy suggests, check all the lugs are crimped on to the cables properly and the motor is grounded properly to the battery and frame
A simple multimeter will help to find voltage drop, should be able to pick something up from a discount auto parts store for a few bucks

Re: Jcb 801.4 perkins 100.30
