Re: Some sheduled maintenance

Bit of servicing and replacing clean up filters from the hyd pump problem.
Bought one of those vacume hold grease ends.Really handy for the eq bar fittings.
Other D8 rained off now.
Could be a while.
It rained hard just after I took this pic of the 68A

Re: Rustyparts,UK.

I have since bought a few parts off Chris since my last post and found him Straight to deal with.
I like his style.
I bought a Ford 555 tombstone,a JCB 3C Hyd pump and a Cat D8K engine that Tony Coates rebuilt for me.
Very happy.

Fuel pressure was starting to back off abit on Thursday on the 8H,so I fitted new ones on Friday afternoon after wor...

Re: Some sheduled maintenance

Cheers for the explanation. I drove dozers long time ago. But nothing to technical. Did have a spell on the then new felwell brigde and a52 in stoke. I would think in a few years time there won't be too many dozer drivers about. I bet you're drivers are old school, getting on a bit. I was sort of r...

Re: Some sheduled maintenance

You next cut a slot about a meter next to the last one.
It's important to keep it as accurate as possible.
Once you are loading the blade, your hands should be resting. No steering.
