I echo your sentiments, John was a constant source of knowledge and guidance for me.
I thought I would share this picture of John running up the starting engine from my 9U for the first time after he had rebuilt it in 2009.

Nicky,

Yes, it is very straight.

But its sale price is high, so I'm currently not inclined to pursue it any further at this stage, especially once I factor in the haulage cost to bring it home.

Fenland Tractors at Crowland, near Peterborough have sourced a supplier of light fittings which closely matches the original Cat fittings - contact Justin Stanley on 01406 330386. They may also be able to help out in finding a winch.
