Re: Akerman Excavators

Akermans pricing wasn't really suited to the UK plant hire market but they were pretty popular with contractors. Sometimes we'd receive quotes and the asking price was higher than Cat and sometimes a bit less, I guess depending on stock, but in any case they never came cheap. If they had it's doubtf...

Re: Akerman Excavators

Nice photos. Ive always had the impression Akerman excavators didnt take much market share here in the UK, even under the ownership of VME and latterly Volvo Construction Equipment and that Akerman excavators were very strong, robust, sturdy machines but lacked some of the cutting edge technology a...

Re: akerman

Great selection of pictures Richard! I think that Bradshaw's used an H25A or B up in Loch Kishorn, Scotland where it remained. If you can get hold of and post some pics, would really like to see.

Cheers.

Re: broyt x45tb for sale ,brown group era £5.000

Yeah approx. 45t and Volvo powered. Think it used the TD100. I've only know of 2 in England so a rare machine for sure.

Re: 793C and D-Series

Hey Mike. Unfortunately it's not a good idea for me to reveal where they are located, but I can tell you that they are being loaded by 1 x P&H 4100A and 2 x 4100C rope shovels. It’s hard going but they load in 3-passes maximum and in less than 2 mins. :) It’s difficult to show you the loading eq...

793C and D-Series

Perhaps Cat trucks are no longer automatically assumed to be the best but the 793 is still one of my favs.

Re: Bauma 2010

Yes the back-end is certainly similar to Cat. It will be interesting to see how it performs.

I'll have a look at the pics as soon as I can Joe!
