This may be useful http://www.honda-engines-eu.com/en/welcome.html but are you sure about the G300 as the only Gs shown with no other alpha prefix are the G100, G150 and G200. I share your feelings but at the end of the day we all do what we want with our kit. My personal hate is owners who wont sell at any price but leave the item, car, tractor, truck or lawnmower outside to rot beyond redemption

Villiersparts are useful for some stuff but Paul Child of Meetens.co.uk is "Mr Villiers" . Meetens have been the "go to" place for all things Villiers since before WW 2

I can see no reason for using Facebook other than to kick the A**e of non responsive suppliers / manufacturers etc.

That's an interesting observation. Here in the UK there are a number of contractors re-discovering the merits of tractors and boxes for short haul muck shifting - cut, carry, spread and compact - all with the same outfit. A few using elevating scrapers too!

There was an article about the restoration in one of the mags, possibly CPM, a while back. I believe that it said that the original Dorman engine was worn out and they managed to source a replacement from a boatyard. Seem to remember that it was suggested coupled to a plough it would out-pull a D4. ...
