The trick was to try to get them all as near as possible the same. As Agrimax says sort the standing height out before fitting the s...

Re: Poclain TX50P?

Hi,
Looks to me like a rubber tyred version of the TCS. It was certainly produced in the same era, similar weight and same engine :?: :?:

Re: Poclain 75 CKB

Hi Jeremy, I to must congratulate you on your tenacity. It seems that this old Poclain is fighting you every step of the way. Your lucky the injector came out OK though, I've got a slide hammer in my kit somewhere that I had to make for that job. It's many years since I worked on Deutz e...

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Hi, I noticed in a previous post mention of aligning marks when assembling an inj. pump. below is a general arrangement drawing of a similar arrangement showing where to look for these marks on the plunger and control sleeve and on the rack and pinion. The wall has a return on it still and the other has steel in it. What more do you want. :) Hi Pete, That Wimpey 38 RB and Mammoth Major Tipper pic. was taken at the demolition of Merthyr Vale Colliery just up the road a mile or two from me. That's the colliery that generated all the shale tips that...

Re: Thwaites 4WD 3T Dumper Restore

Hi Sean, Spill timing should be easy enough, I rarely use a spill pipe as I have found it easier without. First check the cylinder whose pump you are setting is on the firing stroke and about 50 mm. below or 30 degrees before TDC and turn off the fuel supply. Remove threaded injector pipe fitting fr...

Re: Old Navvy.

Nice one Steve, Is the 33 being restored or has it come to the end of the road :?: I looked after a 33 in the late 60s, The 5VPHN was one of Ruston's best, a brilliant engine which was fitted to a few other RB models too. We didn't have to swing the compressor too often because we co...
