Re: Replace a PH2

:) So perhaps a variable speed TR2 with an electric start might be the easiest swap?

Re: Replace a PH2

Any particular reason for the change? If it's only due to it being a little tired or hard to start, perhaps a Lister TR2?

Prefered engine rebuild kit?

I was wondering if there was a major difference in rebuild kit quality and/or if anyone has good/bad experience in the past? I have a tired FE35 that requires an engine rebuild, the extent of the rebuild is not yet known, but given the amount of blow-by I'm expecting to replace/service: Liners + pis...

Re: Benford TR1 Cylinder head shims/gasket

I had an hour to spare after work this evening so lapped the head to clean up and help ensure flat surfaces: Starting with: http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/2507_ASILIOP4UAKI1446147422.jpg http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/2507_1LQCA37XK8R9X1446147643.jpg After...

Re: Benford TR1 Cylinder head shims/gasket

Thanks for this Fred, Two of the three thin shims show signs of distress (distortion and partial splits) despite lifting cleanly when removing the head. Given this, I'll clean and reset the bump clearance with the new shims. The head and barrel surfaces don't look too bad, but I may lap them in for ...

Benford TR1 Cylinder head shims/gasket

The dumper has been emitting a fair amount of exhaust smoke from around the cowling, so I've decided to investigate.. I've lifted the head and found three shims but it appears not to have a copper gasket on the top end of the engine, is this correct? The new (genuine) head set has a set of shims of ...

Identifying a finger mower

Just wondering whether anyone can ID or give me any info on the mower at the back of the trailer, Make/model etc? The original machine was blue in colour. It does have a broken pitman, I have the old parts for pattern, thank goodness. It looks to be in fairly good condition, but does need the pitman...

Re: Kubota KX36 First edition operators manual

Hi Spencer, No idea where you may get an owners manual except from either Kubota or perhaps ebay. Perhaps post a few pictures, I'm sure someone will be able to identify and clarify the unknown controls for you. Cheers Alistair Hi Alistair. We've managed to find our way round the controls but the th...
