Re: rough terrain forklifts

Stephen Kelly I've just picked up one of these MHM Master Handlers myself. I would dearly love a copy of those brochures you have on them. I'm afraid i'm not able to read the ones posted up on here. Heresafew pictures of my machine. Shes an early one with the Lister engine. No 169. http://www.classi...

Re: Jcb 4D for sale

Its big money for a machine thats missing arguably its most important and unique elements to it - its rear wheels. A 4D had wider arches to accommodate giant deep dish wheel rims that had 23.1 x 26 inch tyres. Those wheels just look ridiculous.

Re: jcb 3c vin number

Don't listen to JCB. That is your diggers serial number. The 11/64 on the end is the month and year of manufacture. On your 3Cmk3 the chassis plate should be under the loader arm on a triangular piece of steel that is welded to a chassis rail/hydrachassis. However, they commonly fall off.

Re: jcb filter ?

Hello Max. That "horizontal tube" is your hydraulic filter housing. A paper element filter is contained in there. I'm more familiar with mk2 machines but I'm pretty sure there is a metal strainer on the underside of the digger, on the opposite side to what you've pictured.

Re: Help identifying year/model of 3cx

I cant find my details on 3CX serial numbers but from memory your serial number should mean its very late 1982 or early 1983.

Re: JCB 3D 2 kingpost axel

Vesa, you sent me a message on ebay about my 3C kingpost, slew and carriage I have for sale. Although the kingpost, is different on a 3D compared to a 3C, the slewing gear appears to be the same according to the parts manual. The part number is 103/24807.

Re: JCB 3D II Hydraulic issues

In front of your windscreen you have three breathers. The one in the left- middle is for your fuel tank. The two outer breather are for hydraulic oil. Does this leaking of oil happen after you've filled it up with oil? This happened to me one time after over filling with a breather that was clogged ...
