Re: Hitachi FH150-3

Fixed. A button was partially stuck down on the track servo unit. Simple enough to sort in the end.

Hitachi FH150-3

This old girl has decided to track on her own accord. When operating other functions and not touching the track levers (which have became sticky but can be centralised) one track operates by itself. Let go of the boom controls and the track stops too. Slew or boom out etc and the track also turns. A...

Re: New owner JCB 3D Mk2 qestions

Just seen this post. maybe you've got sorted by now but here's a link I'd bookmarked. Haven't used their services as I rarely look for reusable fittings now but may be worth a call if need be. https://www.hydraulic-shop.co.uk/reusable-hose-fittings-318-c.asp As CHM123 posted, the engine should be a L...

Re: JCB 3C back hoe

I'd say the splines on the king post pinion which in turn mesh with the king post itself are worn out. You'll see the splines at the top of pt no.5 in the diagram. This is for a mk3 but the mk2 is basically the same. The king post itself is slid down onto those splines. https://parts.jcb.com/parts/i...

Re: JCB 2B starting issue

This is a picture of a 6 cyl Minimec pump but the Simms is much the same. The arrow points to the rack. It should slide back and forward freely with light finger pressure and with the throttle fully opened and the button pressed in,it should jump slightly further forward again.(I think it's forward ...

Re: JCB 2B starting issue

The 2B would have a 3 cyl 2.8L BMC with Simms inline pump. The 69 3C2 I had,had the 3.8 BMC with inline pump and had the same problem.Always needed the excess button to start every time, warm or cold. Never bothered to get it fixed but probably needed the pump left with a pump expert!

Re: Jcb 3cx 1985 parts

Your serial number corresponds with either the 1400B parts list or as you're in the UK,the list for the 3D 4WD,which is the 5th one down the 3D parts listing and is more likely to apply to your digger. That serial number also suggests yours is 1987-1988.Late black or early grey cab? Really don't kno...

Re: Jcb 3cx 1985 cab mounts

Yip,loosen nut(probably cut off with grinder!) and jack up cab enough to get mounting up and out. Might need to undo other side as well.

Re: new member/owner

Hi Adam, the white cab model was introduced in 1980 with the BMC engine. The Perkins went in in 1982. The black cab then came along in 1985 so yours is 82-84. The serial numbers can be a bit strange but I think yours being in Australia is also know as a 3c 1400 as they also were known as in the USA.Yo...
