Awesome stuff, looks in good condition. Interesting cab too. Seems to run great.
Has the same blade set up as ours.
Is that another fuel tank behind the seat someone has added? They were originally under the gearbox.
I think the challenger 33 had rear fuel tank.

Re: Fowler Challengers
Hello, just reviving this thread. This is the 3 with the Meadows engine, it has been sitting here for a long time (late sixties I think) http://i359.photobucket.com/albums/oo37/dmc12d/drive%202_zps8yn3jecw.jpg And this is with the Leyland engine. http://i359.photobucket.com/albums/oo37/dmc12d...
Re: Fowler 3
Hi. Very interesting pictures and information, I'm enjoying it, keep the pics coming. We think our 3 served time in the army going by some of the colors of paint on it. and doesn't have any reduction box or hubs. I have some pictures to upload in another thread. What is the attachment on the back of...

Re: 1963 B414 no hydraulics
If you haven't already done it, you need to clean the suction strainer. It is in the front of the resovoir where the suction pipe goes in. Remove the suction pipe and there should be a securing bolt holding the strainer in. Even if you fit a new pump, you need to clean the strainer. New pumps are av...

Re: Fowler Challengers
Well I am about to throw a spanner in the works. We have a Meadows powered MK 3 with the reduction box behind the clutch. We also have a Leyland unit with NO reduction box and NO planetry final drives. The final drive housing is a different casting, one has the bolt heads recessed into the housing a...

Re: Fowler resto tas
Further update of repairs. Track frame off, ground inner rails away to allow Cat D7G double flange rollers to fit between. Cat rollers use 7/8" bolts to mount, where as Fowler frames have 5/8" BSF threads. 7/8" bolts will be machined down and 5/8" thread machined on. Will clean f...

Re: Fowler resto tas
OK, we have the track chains just about sorted, but would love to fit some double flanged rollers to help guide the chains. Berco, did list rollers to suit the TM33 Marshall, which I think was the same as the Challenger 3, but I can't get answers from local dealer as to availability. I am hoping I c...

Re: Fowler resto tas
