Good evening Rev' Chris. If it an "old Lister" most likely it would have run a 20/50 which can still be found. However you shouldn't have too many problems with a 10/40 semi synthetic, not too expensive, a little easier to turn when cold (not that it will help much, it'll still be a sod to...

You're just just showing off now!!! Managed to get it to start a little easier by following the instructions on the site link you gave me, but still think I am going to look like Popeye on one side after a while!

Brilliant! thanks so much for that, it certainly l;ooks like it. I've never heard of a liner before, were they any good? any idea where I can get parts? and does the engine look like the PH1?
