I would wait for a week or twos dry weather and hire a machine in you'd be suprised how much work you can get done with agood operator save all this hassle looking for a suitable machine and you'd spend more time and money repairing the thing

if there s a big hole in the rail maintenance capability maybe some company with an idea how to make money would have taken the striken firm over not nwr get the idea ????

may be its the undercutting of everyone elses rates that caused there demise they may have been the biggest but if you put machines out at nearly half the competitions rate what else do you expect ?????

whoopee we are now going to subsudise a rail plant firm who s management couldnt run it so were now going to pay them so they can have a cushy time under network rail. if they cant run it privately and make money what hope do we have, maybe i n time they will see the error of thier ways and of cours...

Your right in what your saying they did have the largest fleet of road railers,but.putting a new set.of stickers isn't going to change the personel that are running that company and remember its tax payers money that's funding this new enterprise

hi the liebherr is a pretty good tool but the terex is a good machine you can pull 100 tons with it rail mounted with the service brakes but the best tool is the good ole case 988 never any problems with these machines

try ken barbers in forest of dean or a firm called just enterprises if their still going, if im right you have to put an extra pump on the machine to power it i might be wrong though havent driven one of those old girls for a long time good in their day
