Re: Kubota Engine/Fuel Line Problem

Ashley, It sounds as if you have a problem with the pick up in the fuel tank over the years these tend to silt up. It may involve removing the tank for a thorough cleaning but you may get away with draining the tank completely and cleaning the screen. If it runs ok on a full tank but problems start ...

Re: Anyone hear ever see an Eimco

GKN Steelworks at Cardiff had a few of these they used to lower them into the hold of ore carriers to clean out the ore in the parts the cranes could not reach. Absolutely horrific conditions for the drivers, claustrophobic to say the least H&S would throw a fit today. I had forgotten about them...

Re: JOHN DEERE BACKHOE

I have run JDs since the 70s started with a 2010 4in1 tracked loader fitted with a backhoe, that was traded in for a new 310 wheeled loader backhoe, then we traded that for a new JD410. They never seemed to catch on but I cant complain the 410 is still working after completing over7000 hrs and the onl...

Re: Track info, guides and guards

Ashley, looking at your photos I would say youve got a fair bit of general wear there, especially noted the shamfered top edge of the links that coupled with roller flange wear enables the track to run off under any stress. The rock guards are just that and wont really prevent the track coming off if...

Re: JCB 3C 2 Hydraulic pipes

Martin, That is ridiculous hoses are not cheap but I would expect to pay considerably less than half that. Most ends are now swaged onto the hose with special equipment so unless your hoses have the old reusable ends you wont be able to do anything yourself. Oil for your engine I dont know but someo...

Re: case 1529 skid steer with ruston engine

Matt I take it the machine was ok when you tried it prior to buying it ,that being the case I would take a look at fuel supply filters etc. you may have to drain and flush the tank check that out first it is a very common cause of power loss hope thats some help.dave

Re: Quickhitches.....

Im not trying to get everyone yawning but from my early inexperienced replacement of buckets I was finally shown how to do it and it works. A major mistake of replacing bucket pins is due to trying to line up bucket while still on the ground which is uneven,no need forget sledgehammers extend bucket...

Re: oil on cab floor of Jcb 814s

Nick 19 yrs is a long time to be a foot pedal on the floor of an excavator, originally the valves will have been protected by rubber dust bellows these split and deteriorate over the years allowing ingress of abrasives that affect the O ring seals. You will have to remove those valves and if the valv...
