With the cable loaders from the 1950s there is a lever with a weight (or disk) on the end on the drivers left side of the cab. What does that lever do?

Most of the traction engine makers did Hire Purchase in some form or other. Burrell had a section which specialised in it.
Most of the big Showmans engines were on HP deals.

Have only just joined and spotted this. It looks very like a Ruston No 3 which was one of the very last designs of theirs. The fact that it resembles the one in the clay pit makes sense as they had one as well. Limited slew machine, range of different front ends. Probably a case of a good idea at th...
